Objectives
- To assist the specialized branches of Irrigation Department, Zonal design offices and Regional offices to plan and design the most feasible, safest and economical water storing and other hydro related structures in terms of subsurface properties.
- To develop and carryout the remedial measures of existing water storing and other hydro related structures in terms of seepage and stability.
- Designing, installing and commissioning of instrument for obtaining hydro-geological information of existing water storing and other hydro related structures.
- To prognosticate the geological and hydro-geological features and conditions of the subsurface.
- To assist and guide the government and non-government organizations on geological and hydro-geological analysis of the subsurface.
- To train personnel on subsurface investigations, treatments, installation of instruments and hydro-geological analysis of the subsurface.
