Objectives

The scope of ICT branch is to provide services related to ICT for other Sub Departments, Branches, Irrigation Regions & Divisions.

Functions

• Maintain & upgrade the infrastructure facilities on Information Technology in the Irrigation Department
• Maintain & update the official website of the Irrigation Department
• Training & Capacity Building of the staff on ICT subject.
• Identity the ICT equipment requirements, absorb the latest trends, upgrades &updatesof the ICT industry and introduce to the department.
• Undertake minor repairs of ICT equipment, computer peripherals and maintenance, update & upgrade both hardware and software applications.
• Preparation of specifications of ICT equipment & issuing of conformity certificates after procurements are done by this branch.
