Objectives

Operation and Maintenance of all the Irrigation Systems in the best manner in order to ensure the long lasting of the structures and supply water for the farm lands under that schemes.

Key Functions

• Release allocation, Monitoring Progress and achieve the targets under the about 33 votes related to Operation and Maintenance work.
• Maintenance of buildings and other assets belong to Irrigation department.
• Managing the funds released by Ministry and other Agencies for the special works.
• Upgrading the Irrigation Systems in order to provide better service to the farmers.
• Maintaining the updated data base relevant to Irrigation Schemes.
• Action taking for the complaints made by public relevant to O & M and other related matters.
